Colfax – 6 p.m. – Everybody Reads Book Club. This years’ book is Painted Horses by Malcolm Brooks. Sarah will be leading this great discussion about a fantastic read.
Friday, Oct. 28
Palouse – 4 p.m. – Holiday Fun craft snack and a movie at the library.
Colfax – 5 p.m. – Fire Chief Reception in the meeting room. Come in and meet the candidates for Colfax Fire Chief. There will be refreshments and a great opportunity to meet and greet our candidates.
Malden – 6 to 7 p.m. – Costume Storytime with games, food and stories for kids of all ages.
Garfield – 6 p.m. – Adult Coloring has been proven to help reduce stress and anxiety and is a great excuse to get out of the house. Come use the library's supplies or bring your own.
Malden – 7 to 9 p.m. – Teen Scary Movie Night at the library. All junior high and high school age kids are welcome to come eat snacks and watch a movie with friends.
Saturday, Oct. 29
Rosalia – 7 to 8 p.m. – Costume Storytime - wear your costume and come to the library for games, snacks and great stories for everyone.
Sunday, Oct. 30
Garfield – 2 p.m. – OilsWEEN Come share a spook-tacular afternoon at the Garfield Library learning about essential oils. We will have sweet treats and will make candy-scented gifts to bring home. This is fun for kids of all ages. They will get to make scented Play-Doh. Arrive in costume and get a free sample.
Monday, Oct. 31
Colfax, Garfield, Oakesdale, St. John – Trick-or-treat at the library branch near you. Fun treats for everyone. See the Library Events Calendar for trick-or-treat times at your branch.
Tuesday, Nov. 1
Colfax – 11 a.m. – Friends of the Whitman County Library meeting. Come in and see what being a Friend of the Library is all about.
Farmington and Palouse – Free Medicare Help by SHIBA. Joyce and Daniel Leonard are offering free, impartial help for current and future Medicare recipients. Call the branch or visit the Library Events Calendar for more information.
Malden and Rosalia – The $42 Taco, budgeting tips and tricks to help everyone avoid the pitfalls of paying $42 for a taco. Call Marcy for more information.
LaCrosse – 6:30 p.m. – Country Heat Line Dancing is a super fun, fast-paced exercise. Just remember to bring your water and a towel.
Wednesday, Nov. 2
Endicott – 2:30 p.m. – Aliens, Sasquatch and Ghosts OH MY! Tweens and Teens are invited to the library to meet author Kelly Milner Halls. She will discuss her books and things that are real and maybe not so real. Visit Tia for more information.
Thursday, Nov. 3
Colton – 3 to 6 p.m. – Medicare assistance for current and future recipients offered by SHIBA. This is an impartial and free workshop for everyone.
Colfax – 3 to 7 p.m. – First Thursday in Colfax. This month the theme is Thanks for Giving – Customer appreciation.
