Medicare supplement assistance set at branch libraries

Open enrollment for health insurance and Medicare supplement is through Dec. 7. Whitman County Library is partnering again this year with Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors to offer free, unbiased, confidential help in making this important decision. Supplement policies need an annual review as they change in cost and coverage every year.

Volunteers Daniel and Joyce Leonard are coming to all Whitman County communities to give information tailored to meet individual needs of current and future Medicare recipients. The Leonards have saved local residents thousands of dollars in reviewing their Medicare plans. To receive the best coverage plan, please bring a list of current medications. Drop in anytime during the scheduled hours for assistance.

Programs have been scheduled on the following library branches, dates and times:

Nov. 1 – Palouse 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. **Pearl Bouchard, Navigator for WA state’s HealthPlanFinder will be in Palouse** and Farmington 3 to 5:30 p.m.
