Colfax School District Superintendent Jerry Pugh gave an update on the track complex Monday night at the school board meeting.
“I understand the farmers like the moisture but we've gotta have three days in a row of no rain,” he said with a smile. The dry weather is needed to go ahead with painting the track.
Temperatures just need to be above freezing.
If and when the weather breaks, Beynon Sports Surfaces, the contractor on the track from Tualatin, Ore., will tap one of three subcontractors for painting; one in Oregon, one in Spokane and another in Montana.
