Fifth graders see weaving site

LaCrosse fifth graders visited Nancy Taylor's home to see her loom. Nancy explained how to set it up, and she let the students use the shuttle and press the pedals. Nancy also gave the students a tour of her log cabin, and they saw many fascinating objects, such as the colonial-size fireplace. The students visited because they have been studying the colonial period, especially how much work Pilgrims had to do. The students have tried some weaving, so they were fascinated with Nancy's large loom and her weaving projects.
