Pullman's National Lentil Festival Director Britnee Packwood announced this week that the deadline for the 2017 commemorative poster has been extended two weeks until Dec. 14.
The winning entry will be used for all festival merchandise and advertising for next year’s event. It will also be submitted for awards from the Western Festivals and Events Association.
Artists can submit work in any form, including as originals, prints, drafts, concepts or photos. The festival committee will work with the winning artist to develop the final idea, and the 2017 dates and “National Lentil Festival 2017” or “29th Annual National Lentil Festival” will also be added to the poster.
Festival organizers are also asking artists to incorporate a bug in the poster design, as well is keeping in mind the lentil or festival feel which should be incorporated into the poster.
The selected artist will receive a $1,500 compensation and will work with the festival director and committee during the creative process to develop the final idea.
