Colfax Chamber: New membership incentive levels set for businesses

Colfax Chamber of Commerce has changed its membership offerings, creating four membership levels with different incentives.

Previously, the Chamber had different levels based on how many employees a business had.

“Everyone was kind of getting the same benefits for different costs,” said Valoree Gregory, Colfax unified executive director. “Now we can show what you're getting from your membership.”

The basic membership package, at a cost of $85, has four incentives. Those incentives are included in all membership levels and include a membership decal, inclusion in shopping promotions, a listing on the Explore Colfax website directory – with web link included – and a business listing in the visitor guide.

The next level, bronze, comes in at $125 and adds one incentive – a quarter page business advertisement in the Colfax visitor guide.

The silver level is next at $175, and it has several added incentives. In addition to the four basic incentives, it comes with access to the Chamber's mailing list, a half page business advertisement in the visitor guide, the ability to have events added to the Explore Colfax calendar and social media promotions.

The final level, gold, comes with all of these incentives, with the exception that the half page advertisement is a full page instead. Other incentives in this package are monthly recognitions in the Explore Colfax eNewsletter, a banner advertisement on the Explore Colfax website and a sponsorship banner at Winterfest and First Thursdays. This level comes in at $300.

The new membership program is meant to help businesses get what they want out of Chamber membership.

“People can pick what level they want,” said Gregory.

New Chamber membership packets will be mailed out in January. The packets will explain the new program.

Gregory said the change will take affect for member businesses when annual dues come up, rather than all at once.
