True to his word, Frosty the Snowman made a comeback in Colfax over the Christmas holiday, and he grew a few inches, too. Frosty first appeared on the Perkins House lawn last December, and he returned again this year thanks to some help from Mother Nature and the hands of Sam Bryson, left, and Matt Bramlett, right, who last year erected a 10-foot tall snowman. Emma Bryson also contributed to the snowman. This year’s Frosty is even taller, coming in at an estimated 12-13 feet.
“It had to be bigger this year,” Dee Bryson, Sam and Emma’s mom, told the Gazette.
The build was accomplished with the use of a ladder, Sam and Matt said. They detailed that they rolled three or four large balls to create the base and then packed on snow from there.
Frosty’s features include a garden pot hat with an inner tube as well as a plastic carrot nose, plastic eyes and a pipe. The build took three or four hours, Matt said.
Matt and Sam promised that Frosty will be back next year, too.
