GARY ALLEN KNEALE
Gary Allen Kneale, 75, Colfax, died in Phoenix, Ariz., Dec. 17, 2016.
Born in Colfax April 16, 1941, to Jim and Lila Emerson Kneale, he was raised in the LaCrosse area where his family farmed. Gary graduated in 1958 from LaCrosse High School after skipping a class in elementary school. He attended Washington State University for one year before returning to work on the family farm.
He and Myrna Miller of Colfax were married Nov. 16, 1963, and they raised three children and farmed in the Wilcox area for many years before moving to Colfax in 2004.
They purchased H&H Trucking in 2004. They started with four trucks and grew the business to 10 trucks.
Gary enjoyed being on his brother Rob's pit crew when he raced, as well as fishing with his brothers and brother-in-law. He was a past member of the Dusty Gun Club, Colfax Elks and Selbu Lutheran Church. He was also a volunteer firefighter for Fire District 13 from 1981-1999.
Surviving are his wife, Myrna; two brothers, Rob of Moscow, Idaho, and Arthur (Teri) of Colfax; one sister, Jeanne (Gary) Joost of LaCrosse; three children, Bill (Diane) of Otis Orchards, Laura of Cheney, and Jeff (Shawna) of Colfax, and four grandchildren. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 28 at Selbu Church in LaCrosse.
