Facilities meeting Jan. 31: Colfax board fields various topics

The first Colfax school board meeting of the new year Monday night featured items such as facilities planning, Washington State School Directors' Association (WSSDA) policy updates, a resignation by teacher Sue Doering and more.

In opening remarks, board member Brian Becker mentioned the many comments he heard about high school principal Carrie Lipe shoveling snow outside a basketball game last Saturday.

“Mr. Pugh, too,” said Lipe, sitting in the chairs for the public.

“Nobody mentioned him,” Becker said.
