'Sip & Gather'

The Bank Left Bistro and Gallery, Dot's Vintage Funk, & Open Eye Antiques start the new year with "Sip & Gather," a celebration of international and local soups, wines and pastries at the bistro and "Reimagined" spaces for Dot's.

This Palouse event takes place Jan. 14, 11 a.m to 3 p.m.

This marks the move to a new location of Dot's Vintage Funk, now on the second floor of Open Eye Antiques. Come and enjoy sales throughout the participating stores and celebrate food, art and culture.

Offer rod class

at Dahmen barn

Joe Douglas, owner of Black Dog Custom Rods who has a studio at the Dahmen Barn, is offering a workshop where the student may specify days and times for the 32 hours of instruction in building a custom fishing rod. The class is designed to allow the student to begin with the very basic concepts of custom rod building and advance over time to master an array of skills and techniques that will provide the student with the expertise to produce high performance, high quality fishing rods. The cost for the instruction is $120, plus the student purchases the rod parts through Douglas.

Garfield

seniors meal

Next Garfield seniors meal will be served at the Garfield Legion/Grange Hall Thursday, Jan. 19, at noon. On the menu will be pork chops with applesauce, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, green beans, roll with butter, dessert, coffee and punch.
