New Little Library opens

Whitman County Library staffer Debi Hergert braves the elements to keep the Free Little Library on Cedar Street stocked.

Funded by the Friends of Whitman County Library, the new mini library was designed by Jan Hansen and her company, The Little Library Builder of Spokane. It replaces a structure that was developed and built by WSU Design and Construction Management students. That little library was extremely popular with neighborhood residents but experienced many problems, eventually disintegrating from the weather and outdoor elements.
