Thursday, Feb. 9

Colfax – 9:30 a.m. – Yoga for Balance and Aging – Improve your balance, strength and flexibility with a gentler approach to yoga at a personally appropriate level. Every Thursday. Cost is $5 per session, but free for those 65 and older.

Albion – 5 p.m. – Fireside Chats – It has been a cold winter. Come sit around our library “fire” and have a cup of tea or cocoa. Chat with friends or bring something to work on; same time every Thursday.

Hyde Out in Colfax – 6:30 p.m. – Trivia Night – Bring your team or join one upon arrival, test your knowledge and win. Don’t forget your library card for a bonus point.

Endicott – 7 p.m. – Washington State Poet Laureate Reading – You are invited to a reading by our current Washington State Poet Laureate, Tod Marshall.

Friday, Feb. 10

Colfax – 11 a.m. – Tooth Tutor – Learning fun with WSU Tooth Tutor - demonstrating to kids and families the importance and ‘how to’ of dental hygiene. Everyone is welcome.

Palouse – 3:30 p.m. – Valentine’s Day Crafternoon – Kids, come on down to the Palouse Library for crafts, games and Valentine’s fun.

Saturday, Feb. 11

Colfax – 2 p.m. – Murder Mystery Dinner and Stay – Lights, Camera, Murder. The fun begins with a 2 p.m. check-in, then on to a scavenger hunt, a delicious meal and an intriguing murder mystery at the Colfax Library. Monday, Feb. 13

St. John – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Tech Help Monday – Do you need help with your computer, tablet or smartphone? On the second Monday of each month, the library offers technological help for adults. Drop in with questions or just have a cup of coffee.

LaCrosse – 12:30 to 2 p.m. – BINGO and Pie – This fun and free event is open to people of all ages. Join us at the Gathering Place and see if you can win.

Rosalia – 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. – Teen Advisory Council – Students 6th to 12th grade are invited to help plan upcoming teen events for the library. The group meets every other month right after school.

Colfax – 4 p.m. – WCL Board Meeting – The Whitman County Board of Trustees generally meets the third Monday of each month at 4 p.m. These meetings are open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend.

Albion, LaCrosse – Book Club – Want to make friends, have interesting discussions, read something new? Then join our book club. Contact your local library or view our online calendar for more information.

Tuesday, Feb. 14

Colfax – 2 to 4 p.m. – BINGO and Pie – Seniors are invited to join us on the second and fourth Tuesday each month at the Colfax Library from 2-4 p.m. for rousing games of Bingo, hot coffee, delicious pie and other treats.

Wednesday, Feb. 15

Albion, Garfield, Oakesdale – Children and families, check out storytime at your local library, where children will hear stories, sing songs, learn rhymes, make crafts and stretch their imaginations. To see specific dates and times for your library branch, please view our online calendar.

Thursday, Feb. 16

Albion, Colfax, Colton, Farmington – Third Thursday – After school fun. Contact your local library or view our online calendar for specifics about your branch. Colfax has a special event this Thursday, “Weather and You” with KREM 2 Anchor Briana Bermensolo.

Endicott – 7 p.m. Ladies Night – Join us in discussing the book, “We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves” by Karen Joy Fowler. Feel free to bring a snack to share.
