Umpqua will host March small business event

Umpqua bank will host a small business day next month in support of small, local businesses. The event is set with eight local vendors.

“We haven't done something like this in the past, but it's something that Umpqua Bank does to support businesses,” said Sam Melcher, banker with the Colfax branch.

Melcher said the Moscow branch has done something similar, and the Colfax branch is now following suit.

“We thought it would be a good idea to help vendors out and get their names out,” she said.

The vendor list is already set, but there will likely be another small business day in the future, said Melcher. “We are taking names for another one.”

The small business day will include snacks and chocolate fountain. It is set for Thursday, March 9, from 3-7 p.m. in the back room at Umpqua.

Vendors include Rodeo Mom, Kathy Schmick; Rustic Star, Shelby Hennigar and Wes Hennigar; Abundant Faith Studio, Lanette Ring; LipSense, Lindsey Brown; Making Lemonade, Jessica Jensema and Mish Stanley; Thirty-One, Renee Crider; Stella & Dot, April Mackleit, and LuLaRoe, Jessica Plummer.
