The hard winter may lead to extra crack-sealing this summer by the county.
“There's a lot of places where pavement has been pushed where it's never been pushed,” said Public Works Director Mark Storey. “All of this frost heaving. We will be looking for significant damage.”
The county performs crack-sealing on 25-35 miles of county road per year, mostly from April to July.
For 2017, the plans may be expanded, Storey said.
“The most important thing we do is to seal up a road so water doesn't get into it,” he added.
