Homestead Ministries went to Orchards United Methodist Church in Lewiston Saturday and assembled 750 soup bags. Three hundred of the bags went to The Roc Rescue Mission, and the balance went to local food banks. This is the home church for Tom and Carol Jeffries, former Whitman County residents. Also helping were relatives of Jon and Angie Webber and the Vantrease family.

Vicki Broeckel, Michelle Carver and Shasta Manning attended the production of Cirque du Soleil at the Spokane Arena Saturday afternoon. Shasta is employed at the arena as a props organizer and make-up artist for engagements held there. Fourteen trucks were necessary to haul equipment for this show, entitled OVO.
Many Dusty residents attended the memorial service for Don C. Moore in Colfax at the Nazarene Church last Friday. Moore was an area farmer near Dusty on the family farm prior to moving to Colfax. Pastor Bay, former pastor at Selbu Lutheran Church, helped the other Don Moore, pastor at the Nazarene Church, officiate at the services.
