Albion – 5 p.m. – Fireside Chats – It’s been a cold winter. Come sit around our library “fire” and have a cup of tea or cocoa. Chat with friends or bring something to work on; same time every Thursday.
St. John Rialto – 6:30 p.m. – Trivia Night – Bring your team or join one when you arrive, test your knowledge and win. Don’t forget to bring your library card for a bonus point.
Friday, Feb. 24
Colfax – 4:45 to 6 p.m. – Kids’ Corner – Kids don’t put off your homework until Sunday night right before bedtime. Get it done early with homework helper Amanda from WSU. If you do not have homework, Amanda can read with you, craft or play educational games. “Learning Time with Amanda” will be every Friday in March.
Garfield – 6:30 p.m. – Essential Oils Class – Did you know there are hundreds of uses for essential oils? Learn more about the powerful benefits of using oils in your home. Food, fun and freebies. See you there.
Saturday, Feb. 25
Colfax – Blind Date with a Book –Valentine’s Day is over but love is still in the air. Take a peek at our mystery books and select based on just a few clues, not even knowing the title …and maybe you’ll fall in love. Promotion runs through the month of February.
Monday, Feb. 27
LaCrosse – 2:30 to 5 p.m. – Adult Coloring – Did you know that coloring promotes relaxation, reduces stress, AND can help improve your overall mood? That’s right, coloring isn’t just for kids anymore. Drop in enjoy conversation and creativity.
Colfax – 6 to 7 p.m. – Boot Camp – High impact exercises, cardio, muscle strengthening, flexibility and coordination. Bring a yoga mat, hand weights and a lot of water. Classes every Monday. Ask about free Wednesday sessions.
Tuesday, Feb. 28
Rosalia and Farmington – Storytime – Storytime is educational, fun and free at your local library. Children will learn, sing, play and develop early reading and comprehension skills. To see specific dates and times for your library branch, please view our online calendar.
Colfax – 2 to 4 p.m. – Bingo and Pie – Feeling lucky? Seniors are welcome to socialize and play BINGO, win prizes, and enjoy coffee and sweet treats.
Palouse – 6:30 p.m. – Fraud Prevention – Guard your finances, protect your information, and ask for help at this informative presentation by Laura Shields from Banner Bank.
Wednesday, March 1
Colfax – Tom Mohr Photo Exhibit: Why I Moved to Colfax – Visual explanation of Mohr relocating from the Big Apple to the Palouse including colorful landscapes and panoramas with pieces more than 20 feet long. On display in the Center March 1 – April 30.
Thursday, March 2
Albion – 4 p.m. – Arts and Crafts – All children and families are welcome to come in to the Albion Library and complete a project.
Colfax Golf Course – Trivia Night – 6:30 p.m. – Join us for the second trivia night at the Golf Club. Individuals and teams of up to eight are welcome. Pizza by the slice will be available. Extra points for teams with their library cards.
