KREM 2 Anchor Briana Bermensolo made the trip from Spokane to Colfax to be with youngsters at the Colfax Library and teach them about the weather. “Weather & You” was an after school program Feb. 16, with students in first through fourth grades attending. Approximately 40 students attended and were taught about Bermensolo's job as a weather anchor. She told the students how she prepares weather reports and taught them how to prepare one as well. During the program, she invited the students to write their own weather reports, with the students writing one, two and three-day forecasts.
“If you want it to be really cold tomorrow, put 32 for the temperature,” she directed them as they began their weather reports. “But if you want it to be really hot, put 100.”
Several of the students opted for the warmer temperatures in their weather forecasts.
