The marriage ceremony uniting John Benjamin (Ben) Aeschliman, son of John Corwin (Cory) and Rosemarie Aeschliman of Colfax, and Margeaux Laina Wintz, daughter of Mark and Valerie Wintz of Moscow, was celebrated Feb. 4 on the lawn of property in the foothills overlooking Santa Paula, Calif., where Margeaux grew up and where her grandparents presently reside.
Officiating was family pastor and friend Mark Mueller from Grace Covenant Church of Oxnard, Calif. Cory offered the opening prayer, and the bride's father read from Psalm 25 which was the source of Pastor Mueller's message. The other wedding scripture was taken from Proverbs 24:3, which reads, "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established."
Wedding colors were black, ivory, silver and gold, with greenery taken from native greens and olive branches.
The ceremony was crescendo-ed when clouds opened up and sun shined down on the new couple for the vows, presentation of the couple and a kiss. A recessional followed when the groom swept up his bride and carried her down the white runner to greet the 85 family members and friends for a catered reception inside the home.
Maid of honor was Margeaux's twin sister, Monique Harby. Best man was Gabriel Aeschliman, brother of the groom. Flower girls were Lucy, June and Charlotte, daughters of Margeaux's older sister and husband, Morgan and Brian Point. After toasts by the fathers, best man and maid of honor, Ben and Margeaux, correctly answered 21 out of the 22 questions in the "Shoe Game."
The bride and groom led off with the first dance with many joining in for the second round. Sparklers waved the couple away in their BMW.
The following weekend, Margeaux's parent's hosted a reception for local friends and family at their home in Moscow. The newlyweds are residing in Moscow, Idaho.
