Serving Whitman County since 1877
Need help with home energy bills? Whitman County Library and Community Action Center are partnering to bring energy assistance to local towns around Whitman County. The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) offers a one-time payment to help qualified Whitman County residents make their energy bills more affordable. The funding pays a portion of energy costs, but the payment is not intended to cover the yearly cost of a residence.
Programs have been scheduled at the following library branches:
Thursday, March 2 – LaCrosse, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Friday, March 10 – St. John, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wednesday, March 15 – Oakesdale, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tuesday, March 21 – Tekoa, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
