Fête set Friday
for Mohr exhibit
Residents are invited to celebrate the work of Tom Mohr during a reception sponsored by Friends of the Library Friday, March 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Center at Colfax Library. Mohr's exhibit, “Why I moved to Colfax” is now on display at The Center.
Appetizers will be available, and part of the proceeds from a no-host beer and wine bar will benefit the restroom project at The Center.
The colorful exhibit of photo landscapes and panoramas answer the question Tom most often heard when moving here. He sees the reception as a way to talk about his relocation and his special color technique he calls “painting with photography.” The exhibit, which fills both rooms of The Center, runs through the end of April.
All images are for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the restroom project.

They met Feb. 17 at The Courtyard with Sharon Baum as hostess. That day’s program was given by Sherry Cox who told about the life of George M. Cohen. The group listened to several of his songs and sang “You’re a Grand Old Flag” as a group.
The group met March 3 at the United Methodist Church with Dana Carroll hosting. Connie McBride presented her program on Stephen Foster who is probably best known for his song “My Old Kentucky Home”.
