The accessibility of U-Haul has expanded in Pullman, with a second U-Haul neighborhood dealer now set up at Jay's Auto Repair Station in Pullman.
According to a U-Haul press release, the auto shop has signed on with the company and will offer products for do-it-yourself moving and self-storage.
Sunshine Lindsey, office manager at Jay's Auto Repair Station, said the start has been slow, but she expects it to pick up with the Washington State University academic year set to conclude in May.
“We're also a little bit out on the edge of town, so some people might not know we're here yet,” said Lindsey.
Jay's will offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, support rental items and in-store pickup for boxes.
“I'm going to be able to offer all sizes of trucks,” said Lindsey, who also noted the availability will vary based on demand and what is returned to the shop.
Jay's is the second U-Haul neighborhood dealer in Pullman, with the first being at Ace Hardware. Jay's Auto Repair Station is located at 610 Whelan Road near the Pullman-Albion Road and Highway 27 intersection.
U-Haul rentals will be available there from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The station is closed on Sundays. Reservations can be made by calling 509-592-4873 or online.
