On Friday last County Treasurer Larue shipped to Olympia $25,000 of Whitman county's state funds. The total amount to which the state is entitled this year is $48,000, and 75 per cent of this becomes due April 15th. The second and last installment falls due July 15th. It is therefore gratifying for Whitman county taxpayers to know that their obligation to the state is being cleared before the time when it becomes due. Next week a call will be made for $50,000 of the county's warrants.
