Serving Whitman County since 1877
Technology Tuesdays begin at the Colfax Library next Tuesday, March 21, with a program called Easy Access OverDrive. From noon to 1 p.m. staffers will be on hand to assist users in installing the OverDrive app, navigating the website and downloading a free library eBook or audio book to their phone or device.
Future classes will be each Tuesday, including Drop-In Tech Help March 28 from 2-4 p.m. At this program, participants can sign up for Microsoft Imagine Academy or get one-on-one assistance with computers, printers, devices and any technology question. Tech Tuesdays in April include: Kids that Code, Toddler Preschool Tech Time, Whitman County Rural Heritage Online and Drop-in MOS and Tech Help.
Tech Tuesdays developed after a new lab was secured for The Bettie Steiger Community Enrichment Center. Known as the TEK Center, this “Technology, Education and Knowledge” center will provide a variety of classes and programs, both structured and unstructured for residents of all ages. Key to the TEK Center will be Coding, Microsoft Imagine Academy and other technology uses and instruction.
