Larry J. Zehm
Larry J. Zehm, 80, Spangle, died Saturday, March 18, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 W Government Way, Spokane. A reception will follow at the Spangle Service Club, 165 N Main Street, Spangle.
Born June 30, 1936, to Erwin and Irene Bratt Zehm in Spokane, he graduated from Spangle High School in 1954 and from Washington State College in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He worked as a federal grain inspector for the USDA for 30 years in Portland, Minneapolis, Quebec and Spokane. He also served in the Navy Reserves for 42 years. Larry loved to travel and visited 48 of 50 states and all continents except Antarctica. He loved the outdoors and volunteered for the Inland Northwest Wild Life Council.
Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lorraine Zehm; daughters Cindy (Arlin) Paulson, Karla Kyes, and Laurie (Devin) Saylor; son Randy (Maeleen) Zehm; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council, 6116 N Market St., Spokane, 99208.
