Thursday, March 23

Colfax – United Methodist Church – 12 p.m., Oakesdale – 4 p.m., Palouse – 7 p.m. – Sasquatch: Man-Ape or Myth? Learn about Sasquatch, the hairy, eight-to ten-foot-tall hominid, at this unique Humanities Washington presentation. Hear author David George Gordon, evaluate the data gathered about the PNW legend. Encounters have been reported for hundreds of years and attendees are encouraged to tell their tales of the mysterious creature.

Colton – 5:30 p.m. – BINGO and Pie – Join us for a fun night of BINGO, pie, and a chance to win. Kids are welcome to a pajama, popcorn and movie party as well. Bring the whole family to this fun event. Free for all ages.

Friday, March 24

Endicott – 1 p.m. – Sasquatch: Man-Ape or Myth? – Presentation offered by Humanities Washington and sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Call or visit us online for specifics about your community.

Colfax – 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. – Blood Drive – Find the hero in you and donate at the INBC Community Blood Drive. Make your appointment online at http://www.inbcsaves.org or call 800-423-0151.

Colfax – 4:45 to 6 p.m. – Kids’ Corner – Kids don’t put off your homework until Sunday night, right before bedtime. Get it done early with homework helper Amanda from WSU. If you do not have homework, Amanda can read with you, craft, or play educational games. “Learning Time with Amanda” will be every Friday in March.

Rosalia – 6 to 9 p.m. – Pizza, Pop and Popular Titles Teen Movie Night – Come celebrate your favorite books being made into movies. Students grades 6 through 12 are welcome to enjoy snacks, book trivia and a movie.

Saturday, March 25

Oakesdale – 5 p.m. – BINGO and Pie – Enjoy a fun evening with friends and family on Saturday complete with sweets and a little friendly competition.

Colfax – Herblock – View this national exhibit by famed political cartoonist Herblock on the main floor on display until March 26. Hurry, it will be traveling somewhere else soon.

Monday, March 27

LaCrosse – 2:30 to 5 p.m. – Adult Coloring – Come to the library and color the stress away.

Tuesday, March 28

Colfax – 2 to 4 p.m. – Tech Tuesday: Drop in Technology Help – Stop by the NEW Tek Center with your devices and/or your technology questions. Whether you need assistance with basic computer skills or more advanced programs, we have experienced staff on hand to help.

Lego® Mindstorms EV3-TEK Center at Colfax Library - Explore the world of robotics during this free hands-on STEAM program: Introduction to Lego® Mindstorms EV3.

In this two hour class, kids grades 6 and up will build and learn basic programming to complete robot challenges. Join us for this fun filled afternoon; space is limited call 397-4366 to reserve your robot today.

St. John – 12:20 to 1:30 p.m. – First Aid – Children, grades 1 through 5 are invited to learn basic first aid. A representative of the American Red Cross will be teaching kids the importance of basic first aid, learn to bandage a serious cut, tie a sling and how to help someone who is choking. Each student will take home their own first aid kit.

Endicott – 2:30 p.m. – Students grade K – 5 are welcome to participate in a Youth Basic First Aid class.

St. John – 5:30 to 6:30 – Be Ready: Community Preparedness – American Red Cross representative, Darin Foster, is here to help families prepare for natural disasters. Discussions will include disaster plans, means of acquiring information in a crisis, and supplies. All ages are welcome and activities for young children will be available in the library.
