Colfax girls top Lancers, face Davenport today

The 2017 Colfax High School softball season gets underway with a doubleheader win March 31 at McDonald Park.

Colfax softball players Friday defeated Liberty twice in a launch of the rain-delayed league campaign. The Bulldogs hammered the Lancers 11-1 in the first game and outlasted them in a close second game for a 6-5 edge.

The pair of wins leaves Colfax at 3-1 on the season with the other win a non-leaguer over Pomeroy.

Colfax was slated to play at Colton in a non-leaguer Wednesday and travel today for two games at Davenport. They will play another league double at Asotin on Saturday.
