Colfax man injured in crash

Paul Bilderback, 76, Colfax, was taken by ambulance to Whitman Hospital Monday afternoon after sustaining injuries in a collision on Highway 195 just south of Papé Machinery. Bilderback was driving a 2013 Toyota Tundra pickup southbound at 1:02 p.m. when he struck the trailer of a semi truck which had crossed the highway and gone into the ditch on the west side of the highway.

According to the Washington State Patrol report, the semi driver went into the ditch to avoid hitting the back of a Fed-Ex truck which had slowed in the northbound lane in an attempt to make a left turn into a residence....
