LaCrosse grads of '79 stay at Dusty Parsonage

Doreen Broeckel Riedner, Dusty; Denise Broeckel Kendall, Tacoma; Paula Morris Meyer, Colfax, and Sheri Shaffer Hatley, Oakesdale, held their 15th annual mini-reunion of the Class of 1979 of LaCrosse High School this past weekend at the Parsonage Bed and Breakfast. They took a drive around the Dusty and LaCrosse communities, stopped at the home of Karen Broeckel for a supply of chocolate chip cookies, visited and generally had a good time. They were joined by Sheri’s mother, Darlene Shaffer of LaCrosse, at breakfast Sunday morning and all attended worship services together at the Country Bible Church before returning to their respective homes.

David and Phyllis Stueckle were guests of Anne Emerson at Hill-Ray for Easter Day dinner last week.

Kim and Cindy Pitts spent Easter weekend in Yakima with their daughter Carrie.

Nancy Calvert, Enumclaw, spent WSU Mom’s Weekend with her sister, Helen Appel. Nancy has a grandson at WSU. Helen’s niece, Cindy Anderson, visited briefly.

Easter guests at the Dick Appel home enjoying an egg hunt and ham dinner were Eric and Shannon Appel, Dusty, Kyle and Sidney; Connor, Christopher and Sarah Appel, WSU; Caroline and Rob Kunkel, Pullman and Zack, Kade, Elly and Luciene; Neil and Liz Appel, Dusty, and Josh, Noemi, Issac, John Paul and Grace; Lisa and Travis, Palouse, and Miriam, Rachel, Emma and Colette; Phil and Leslie Appel, Cheney, and Kelly, and three Focus missionaries from the Newman Center at WSU.
