Lewis will seek Miss USA title

Cassie Lewis, who was named Miss Idaho USA 2017 in September at Boise, will depart May 1 for the Miss USA competiton which will be at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

She will be among entrants from all states and the District of Columbia to compete for the title.

The event will have a preliminary round May 11 and the final competiton May 14 on Fox.

The daughter of Rob and Tammy Lewis of Colfax, Cassie graduated from the Central Washington University with a degree in apparel and textile design and is now employed in events planning at Washington State University. She is a member of the Colfax High School class of 2009.

Lewis now lives in Moscow.
