Mike Day is back home and busily rounding up prizes for his annual Battle Days raffle. He will be selling tickets, and the drawings will be June 3 during Battle Days.

Visit Mike at Lee’s Garage on the corner of Whitman and 7th.

Miss Rosalia and Mr. RHS courts will be taking orders for the revived Community Calendar next to Mike’s Raffle. They will also have a bake sale.

Rosalia Community Float and Royalty Association is busily working on this year’s float, themed “Adventures in Candy Land.” Don Teal did a makeover of the float's mechanical and electrical systems.

Royalty members, Queen Sydney Van Dyke, Princesses Daphne Jacobs, Jillian Bruce and C’aira Murray, King Collin Pittmann, Princes Gavin Merritt, Chase Nybo and Eric Nelson, along with some of their parents have pitched in to help with the construction.

On Saturday, May 13, at 5 p.m. a “Float Premier” will present the float to the community. The Whole in the Wall Pizza will offer a fundraising special from 4 to 7 p.m. with a portion of the proceeds for pizza-by-the-slice, whole pizzas and beer being donated to the Royalty Association.

The Chamber of Commerce and its Battle Days Committee are working hard to make this year’s Battle Days Celebration the best ever. June 2, 3 and 4 will be filled with fun for the whole family with attractions for all ages.

The annual Town Yard Sale will be Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Maps of the registered yard sale vendors will be available at Rosalia Coffee, Pat’s Books, the Rosalia Market and the lobby of the Post Office.
