Church women send infants quilts, supplies

Elizabeth Circle of Trinity Lutheran Church has been working on baby quilts all winter.

These quilts were then wrapped around baby supplies, such as diapers and pins, soap, towels, pajamas, outfits and coats.

On April 30, these 31 bundles were blessed and then mailed to missions overseas May 5.

Those working on the project were Louise Owens, Sue Bafus, Georgia Wells, Gail Bilow, Carol Hannas, Barbara Huntley and Jerine Grey.

Friends and family of the Wade and Sheena Becker family held a fundraiser at the school cafeteria on May 7.

Jenny Meyer of Endicott Food Center catered a taco bar which fed more than 200 people.

A silent auction was held with items donated by family and friends.

The funds will help the Becker family pay expenses for the birth of their daughter and the medical issues that Sheena faces.
