Steve and Becky Camp spent Mother’s Day with their respective mothers. Becky was in Lewiston with her mother, Wanda Rudolph. They attended church and then joined other family members for lunch. Steve took his mother, Donna Camp, to brunch at the LaCrosse Café. Afterward, they took a drive to Beacon Hill near Hay to enjoy the view.

Lucky and Joan Myrick traveled to Ellensburg on Saturday to return their great-grandson, Broden, to his mom, Desiree Myrick, Federal Way. Five-year-old Broden had spent three weeks with the Myricks.

Linda Hennigar went to her daughter’s family, Tami, Jay and Wesley Banks, in the Tri-Cities after church for Mother’s Day. Jay barbecued in the early evening, and they were joined by Kenny Banks and daughter Kaylie, Kennewick; Malcolm and Michelle, Benton City, and Cheyenne Chavez, Finley. Hennigar returned home Tuesday.

Barb Wollstein, Lacey, spent several days helping her mother Helen Appel with yard work. Dick and Helen Appel and Barb attended graduation exercises at WSU for Christopher and Connor Appel, sons of Eric and Shannon Appel. Many of the Appel family in the area attended the 8 a.m. graduation or the family reception at the Newman Center.

Helen and Dick Appel spent the next weekend attending the medical school graduation of their granddaughter Alissa Stavig at Duke University. She is the daughter of Deb and Bob Stavig, Hockinson. The Appels flew to Portland to attend the graduation of another granddaughter, Sabrina Appel, from Reed College with a degree in physics. She is the daughter of Phil Appel, Cheney.

Last week Wednesday, the Dusty B.B. Club and guests had their last meeting of the season with their annual guest luncheon in the Jones Schoolhouse at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds. Guest speaker was Kristi Kirkpatrick from the Whitman County Library.
