Pullman honors 3 citizens

Pullman City Council Tuesday presented an Outstanding Citizen award to Kaycee Faber, who, on May 5, fought off an attacker after he followed her home and forced his way into her apartment. Faber fought back and was able to force the assailant out of her apartment. She immediately called 911 and described her attacker who was arrested and positively identified by Faber.

Grant Porter and Allison Schomburg were presented with the Lifesaving Award. On May 10, they intervened with a 24-year-old subject who was attempting suicide by standing on a chair and hanging himself from a basketball hoop. They were able to talk the subject down from the chair and engaged him in conversation until the police arrived.
