Serving Whitman County since 1877
Garfield/Palouse School District Superintendent Calvin Johnson will be honored at the Washington Association of Agricultural Educators Banquet June 28 as administrator of the year.
In Johnson's three years as Gar/Pal superintendent, the school has added a second agriculture teacher and expanded its program to robotics and computer-aided design. Johnson has also worked on the effort to fund and build a new greenhouse for which ground will be broken at the end of May.
The nine Washington State FFA districts name the administrator of the year.
Johnson has also been instrumental in securing the funding for a 30’x40’ greenhouse and continues to work to bring the project to completion this summer.
