Thursday, May 25 Colfax, LaCrosse, Rosalia, Tekoa – Children’s Programs – Early learning, storytime and playtime at the library.

Albion – Knit Night – 5 to 7:30 p.m.

– Learn to knit or bring any craft project you are working on and join us as we work together.

Colton – 5:30 p.m.

– BINGO and Pie – You are invited to come enjoy an evening of BINGO, have a chance to win prizes and, of course, eat pie.

Join us in this evening of fun for everyone.

Colfax – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

– H’Art of the Palouse Banner Reception – The community and all artists are invited to enjoy a reception for the 2017 Banner Contest and to view banner entries from the past seven years.

The winners will be announced and prizes awarded.

Refreshments will be served by the Art Council and Friends of the Library.

Friday, May 26 Colfax, Endicott, Malden, Palouse, St. John, Malden, Uniontown – Children’s Programs – Bring your little ones to the library for singing, rhyming, playing and more.

Saturday, May 27-Monday, May 29 All 14 branches of Whitman County Library will be closed in honor of Memorial Day.

Our website and online catalog are available 24/7 for your convenience.

Tuesday, May 30 Colfax TEK Center – 12 to 1 p.m.

– Tech Tuesday: OverDrive Easy Access – Learn to download eBooks and audiobooks right onto your phone, tablet, or other device with the library’s Overdrive App.

All you need is your library card.

Bring your device and get all your questions answered.

Colfax – 2 to 4 p.m.

– Color Me Crafty and Learn to Crochet in May – ALL adults are now invited to relax and express your creativity with coloring.

Anyone interested can learn to crochet with Debi McNeilly or bring whatever craft or art project you are currently working on.

Albion – 5 p.m.

– Adult Painting Class – Join us for a painting class in which local artist, Kat Downes, teaches basic painting techniques to adults.

This class is free, materials are provided, and you can take your masterpiece home with you.

Colfax – Yoga – Join us for Potpourri Yoga from 12:05 to 12:55 p.m.

and the Align and Refine Class from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, May 31 Malden – 10 a.m.

to 6 p.m.

– Annual Book Sale – Sale features tables full of books, DVDs and more for all ages.

All funds go to support the summer reading program in Malden.

Thursday, June 1 Malden – 10 a.m.

to 6 p.m.

– Annual Book Sale – Come get some great deals and help “Build a Better World.” Colfax – 3 to 6 p.m.

– The community is invited to sign-up for Summer Reading 2017 at the Colfax Library for June’s First Thursday Event.

This summer, Whitman County Library wants to help “Build a Better World.” Tekoa – 3:15 p.m.

– Teen Watercolors – Teens are invited to the Tekoa Library for a special water color art class with our Teen Librarian, Nichole Kopp.

Albion – 5 p.m.

– Fireside Chats – Come sit around our library “fire” and have a cup of something delicious.

Chat with friends or bring something to work on; same time every Thursday.
