Serving Whitman County since 1877
Ownership of the Daily Grind coffee stand in Colfax transferred this week, and former proprietor Tami Grady had her last day of operation there Monday. Wednesday, it opened again as 165 Degree Brew.
New proprietors are Dana Repp, Brandy Wigen and Kristen Inderriden.
“Kristen has worked there for over 10 years, and Tami approached her about it,” said Wigen. “She talked to me, and I talked to Dana, and the three of us decided to go in together and purchase it.”
Wigen said Grady only wanted to sell the Colfax location, so the Pullman locations will remain. There are three Daily Grind stands in Pullman, plus a downtown storefront on Main Street. Grady owned the stand here for four years.
Wigen, Repp and Inderriden moved into the stand Tuesday night and started operation the next morning. The trio has planned two new additions to the menu: Ferdinand's ice cream by the scoop and milkshakes.
“Otherwise, it will all be the same with espresso and stuff,” said Wigen. “We're super excited.”
Hours will be 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
