Steven M. Bonser, 65, died May 31, 2017, at the Tekoa Care Center.

Born July 13, 1951, in Spokane to Paul and Geraldine Fishe Bonser, he attended schools in Spokane and graduated from East Valley High School in 1969. He farmed, built boats, operated heavy equipment and worked as a handyman remodeling homes. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in the Mount Spokane and Bear Mountain areas.

He was married and later divorced.

Survivors include his two sons, Jason Bonser and Alex Bonser, both of Spokane, and a brother.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Kristina Joy Coe-Dotts, 30, lifetime Spokane area resident, died unexpectedly June 6, 2017, in Garfield. Funeral services will be at Hennessey Funeral Home at 2203 N. Division Street, Spokane, on Saturday, June 17, at 2 p.m. Viewing for family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Born July 8, 1986, at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane to Keith and Syliva Pierce Coe, she was raised in Spokane and the Gifford-Rice area alongside her cousin Ashley Taylor and graduated in 2004 from Columbia High School in Hunters. She gave birth to her daughter, Alexis Coe, that same year. She married Jeff Dotts in 2007 and gave birth to her son, Connor, a few years later.

After graduation, Kristina worked at the post office in Gifford for a year before completing her CNA training. After her training was completed, she worked at nursing homes in the Colville area. She very much enjoyed her time working with the elderly.

Survived are her husband, Jeff Dotts, Colville; daughter Alexis Coe of Rice-Gifford; son Connor Dotts, Colville; father and step-mother Keith and Melanie Coe, Spokane Valley, and mother and step-father, Sylvia and Bob Super of Spokane Valley; siblings Lisa, Linnea, Megan, Stephen, Rebecca and Michael; grandparents George and Nancy Taylor of Rice-Gifford

Gerald Fletcher, age 89, a longtime Tekoa resident and former grain dealer, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Sullivan Park Care Center in Spokane Valley. Arrangements are pending at Kramer Funeral Home in Tekoa. A full obituary will follow.

Jim Madole, 85, retired Colfax teacher, died Monday, June 5, 2017, in Surprise, Ariz., where he has made his retirement home. Mr. Madole taught English and history at Colfax from 1979 until he retired in 1993.

He started teaching here after retiring in 1975 from a 30-year career in the U.S. Army.

Following his Army career, which included two terms of duty in Vietnam, he studied to earn a degree in education at Whitworth College in Spokane and then joined the faculty here.

Born Aug. 12, 1931, in Whitefish, Mont., he was also raised there.

He married Audrey Lee Zimmer, and they raised their two children while he served in the Army. Mrs. Madole died in 1993. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael, in 2011.

After moving to Arizona, Mr. Madole married Arlen Madole, the widow of his brother. She survives at Arizona. He is also survived by a daughter, Teresa L. Madole, Colfax; two grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes, a funeral service was not conducted. He has been cremated and his remains placed in a National Cemetery in Arizona.
