Posse hammers LC

Pullman Posse hammered the LC Tigers Tuesday night 16-1 to keep rolling in the Spokane Legion league. The locals rapped 10 hits at the Tigers and posted a 12-1 lead after three innings. The game at Quann Field in Spokane shut down after five frames on the 10-run rule.

The Tigers booked six errors over the five innings.

Posse pitcher Hogan Heytvelt, one of two Pomeroy players on the Posse this year, held LC to just three hits. He struck out three and walked just four batters in booking the big win.

Kyle Appel of Colfax rapped a single and two triples to lead the 10-hit Posse bats.

Ryan Wolf, the other Pomeroy player on the squad, rapped a three-run double for the key hit of the game.

Last Wednesday, June 14, Posse pegged an 11-1 win over North Central in Spokane with Jake Wells throwing a one-hitter in the game which also shut down on the 10-run rule after five innings. Wells struck out seven and walked just two.

Nate Akesson of Colfax had four hits with three singles and a double to top the 11-hit Posse offense. Konner Kinkade netted four RBIs on two singles.

North Central is the lone team to defeat Posse to date in the season's run.
