Kelly's Barn Wood & Attic, based in Malden, offers decorative and furniture items made from re-claimed and pallet woods. Owners Marty and Kelly Dorfner, who both work at Hutton Settlement in Spokane, started Barn Wood & Attic as a creative hobby a little less than two years ago, designing and building the items themselves.

“Kelly really has an eye for decorating homes and staging items,” said Marty, noting that this talent plays an important role in the creativity in many of the decorative items.

Some past and current projects have included outdoor furniture, cabinets, indoor tables, wine racks and decorative jewelry racks, but according to Marty, much of their work is custom to specifications that will work in a particular space or with a particular décor.

“If you show me a picture, I can do it,” he said.

Marty and Kelly keep pictures of each finished piece, and these are available for inspiration and re-creation if someone sees a past piece they particularly like. You can find many examples of their work on their Facebook page, Kelly's Barn Wood & Attic.

Marty added that with arrangement they are able to deliver items. For more information, Marty and Kelly can be contacted through their Facebook page or by phone:
