A cooler First Thursday

One of the misters installed on East Spring Street to keep the crowd cool during the Aug. 3 First Thursday event in Colfax attracted the attention of this 3-year-old. Canopies and misters were brought in to keep the crowds comfortable in 90 degree weather. Blues singer Sammy Eubanks entertained. He was joined by past First Thursday acts, Keith Neihenke and Eric E. at the end of his performance. While the Sahara-weather kept crowds down in July, people were out in force for the August event.
