Grid practice starts Aug. 16

First practice date for Colfax football players will be Aug. 16, and the first game will be Sept. 1 with Reardan visiting Colfax, Coach Mike Morgan reported in his annual letter to players Wednesday, July 19. Meet the Bulldogs night has been slated for Aug. 24 at the high school field.

The Bulldogs football schedule lists nine league games, with the last one here Oct. 27 against Kettle Falls. Playoffs will follow.

Also, Colfax Athletic Director Nathan Holbrook has scheduled the fall sports meeting for Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

Along with a list of all sports in which the student plans to compete during the school year, parents will be asked to list the insurance provider and policy identification number for the athlete and to provide emergency contact and physician information.

Holbrook said athletes are required to have their physicals for the current year done before the first day of turnouts for the fall sports.
