Colfax – 10 a.m. – WSU Cleans Up Colfax – Students and staff from WSU’s Center for Civic Engagement will be cleaning up Main Street. If interested in volunteering, contact library director, Kristie Kirkpatrick at [email protected].
Colton – 3 p.m. – Jump Rope Project – Kids 10+ are invited to reduce, reuse, recycle by making plastic bag jump ropes.
Rosalia – 3 to 5 p.m. – Overdrive and Technology Help – Learn to navigate Overdrive, the library's free digital book source. We will be available to answer your Overdrive and general technology questions.
Colton – 6 p.m. – Pajama Eclipse Storytime – Learn about the solar eclipse in your PJs. Crafts, snacks, and story included.
Rosalia – 6 p.m. – Cybersecurity Essentials – Mike J. McCully (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) will be discussing concerns such as identity theft and web attacks in a presentation focused on security at work and home.
Tekoa – 6 to 7:30 p.m. – Family Game Night – Take a break from the heat and play board games with family and friends.
Colfax Hyde Out – 6:30 p.m. – Trivia Night – Test your knowledge and compete with friends. Featuring a special picture category.
Endicott – 7 p.m. – Ladies Night – Join us for a book discussion. Feel free to bring a snack to share.
Friday, Aug. 18
Malden – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Caregiver Support Group – All paid and unpaid caregivers are welcome. We offer coffee and a light lunch with Rural Resources employee, Melissa Johnson (same time every first and third Friday of month.
Malden – 2 to 4 p.m. – Overdrive and Technology Help – Bring your device and receive help from Colfax librarian, Nichole. She will be available to help you download and navigate Overdrive, the library's free digital book source.
Saturday, Aug. 19
Colfax – 2 to 4 p.m. – Drop in tech help – All are welcome to drop-in to the TEK Center to receive hands on tech help.
Rosalia Brass Rail – 7 p.m. – Trivia Night – Come enjoy the sunshine and friendly competition in the at the Brass Rail’s beer Garden. Featuring a special Summer Surprise category.
Monday, Aug. 21
LaCrosse, St. John and Tekoa – Solar Eclipse Party – Learn how and why an eclipse happens, have a snack and watch this natural phenomenon. Meet at the LaCrosse Library from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m., the St. John Library from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., or the Tekoa Gymkhana Park from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Safety viewing glasses will be provided.
Oakesdale – 1 to 3 p.m. – Energy Assistance – Anita Peterson from Community Action Center will be assisting low income households with home energy costs. Call 1-800-482-3991 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Endicott – 6 p.m. – Family Game Night – Join us for a fun-filled family night of board games and snacks.

Colfax – 10 to 11 a.m. – Tiny Tot Tuesday – Preschool playtime at the park welcomes families to enjoy fun in the sun. Albion – 10 to 11:30 a.m. – Toddler Time – Little ones (age 0-5) and their grownups, come play and interact with friends.
Colfax – 2 to 4 p.m. – BINGO and Pie – Seniors are welcome to enjoy rousing games of BINGO and delicious desserts.
Farmington – 2:30 p.m. – Storytime – Join us for reading, playing, and making friends. Fun for children and families.
Wednesday, Aug. 23
Uniontown – 5:30 p.m. – BINGO and Pie – Everyone is invited to enjoy an evening of BINGO, prizes and, of course, pie.
Thursday, Aug. 24
Colfax – 9:30 a.m. – Healthy Aging Yoga – This yoga class is a gentler, personal approach to yoga and free for adults 65 and older.
Palouse Community Center – 9:30 a.m. – Teen Cooking – Learn how to prepare a meal that excites your taste buds. Provided for ages 12 and older, space is limited to eight participants, so sign up early.
Colfax – 1:30 to 3:30 – Yoga Girls – Girls, grades 3 through 8, are invited for yoga with Suzy McNeilly. After Yoga, enjoy a healthy snack and create a self-confidence collage and learn the benefits of journaling. $5 class fee per participant.
