Art and Colene Sager just returned from a week in Minneapolis, Minn. While there, they attended the International Flying Farmer Convention. Highlights of the convention included touring the Vikings football stadium where the next Super Bowl will be played, a river boat trip on the Mississippi River including going through the locks and a tour of the original Gold Medal Flour mill which has been made into a museum, showing working conditions and equipment during earlier days.
The convention hotel was connected to the Mall of America, so shopping was a highlight. While in Minneapolis, they also visited with long-time friends, Alan and Judy Naumann.
Bruce and Elaine Appel, Spokane Valley, visited at the home of Bruce’s parents, Dick and Helen Appel. Joining them for the day was their son, Spenser.
Charlie Appel, Steve Appel’s truck driver, also joined them but returned to Steve’s home to finish harvest.
