Thursday, Aug. 24

Colfax – 9:30 a.m. – Healthy Aging Yoga – This yoga class is a gentler, personal approach to yoga and free for adults 65 and older.

Palouse Community Center – 9:30 a.m. – Teen Cooking – Learn how to prepare a meal that excites your taste buds. Provided for ages 12 and older, space is limited to eight participants, so sign up today.

Colfax – 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Yoga Girls – Girls, grades 3 through 8, are invited for yoga with Suzy McNeilly. After Yoga enjoy a healthy snack, create a self-confidence collage and learn the benefits of journaling. $5 class fee per participant.

Albion – 5 to 7:30 p.m. – Albion Knit Night – Learn to knit or bring any craft project you are working on and visit.

Friday, Aug. 25

Oakesdale Park – 6 p.m. – Games at the Park – It’s the end of summer break, so let’s celebrate by having fun with water games at the park. Bring the family and be prepared to get wet.

Saturday, Aug. 26

Colfax – 1 to 3 p.m. – Paws to Read – Librarian, Sarah, invites you to celebrate National Dog Day at the library. Bring the kids (or dog-loving grownups) anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. to read and play with our favorite canine, Indy.

Garfield – 3 to 8 p.m. – Pajama Storytime and Movie Night – Come wearing your comfiest PJs for a fun night of stories, crafts, snacks and a movie hosted at Garfield Christian Fellowship Church. Don’t forget your stuffed animal.

Colfax – 5:30 p.m. – Inspired Palouse Community Reception – Join us at The Center to celebrate the Inspired Palouse art contest and exhibit. Complimentary refreshments will be served, awards will be announced at 7 p.m. and artwork will be for sale.

Monday, Aug. 28

Tekoa – 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Jump Start to School – Join us for fun and educational activities to get a jump start at school readiness. All ages welcome. Monday at city hall, Tuesday – Thursday at the library and Friday at the grade school gym.

LaCrosse – 2:30 to 5 p.m. – Adult Coloring – Come for a fun and relaxing session of coloring. Bring your own favorite coloring book or use the library's supplies. Refreshments will be provided.

Tuesday, Aug. 29

Albion – 10 a.m. – Toddler Time – Join us with your little ones, ages 0-5, for playtime with friends. Kids, have fun with kids, and moms, have a good time with other moms, too. Toys and crafts will be provided for play and learning.

Tekoa – 1:30 to 3 p.m. – Energy Assistance – Anita Peterson from Community Action Center will be assisting low income households with home energy costs. Call 1-800-482-3991 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Colfax – 2 to 4 p.m. – Color Me Crafty – Get creative with friends and enjoy classical music and some delicious treats.

Farmington – 2:30 p.m. – Storytime – Join in on the adventure of a story read by our friendly Farmington librarian, Rita.

Wednesday, Aug 30

Endicott – 9 to 11 a.m. – Coloring Relaxation Therapy – When is the last time you sat down to color? Drop by the Endicott Food Center to relax and unwind. Coloring pages, bookmarks, supplies and lamination will be provided.

Garfield – 1 p.m. – Brain Power – Prepare for school with brain building puzzles and other activities designed to get your child’s brain fired up for the coming school year. Call (509) 635-1490 with any questions.

Malden – 6 p.m. – Starry Night Storytime – Kids of all ages are invited to join us for fun, songs, snacks and stories celebrating a sky full of wonders. Bring the whole family for an fantastical time.

Thursday Aug 31

Colfax – 12:05 to 12:55 p.m. – Flex and Flow Yoga– Focus on alignment and breath while building strength and flexibility.

Rosalia – 7 p.m. – Starry Night Storytime – Calling all kids. Come to the Rosalia Library for our Starry Night-themed storytime. Please remember that children younger than 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
