Serving Whitman County since 1877
Whitman County Library will join with the American Library Association and libraries nationwide for Library Card Sign-up Month to make sure that every student has a free library card.
First time library card holders who register during September are entered for a chance to win a $25 gift card provided by the Friends of the Library.
Resources at the Whitman County Library are available to anyone with a library card. Students can turn to the library for materials, programs and library staff that support academic achievement.
For preschool-age children, library branches offer early literacy resources and storytimes to encourage school readiness; for older children and teens, supplement education with multidisciplinary programs, and for nontraditional students, GED and electronic resources.
Throughout September, the library will host several programs, including exercise and yoga classes, after school STEM activities, cyber security classes, electronic circuit training and technology assistance.
