Gonzaga Prep, one of the Spokane GSL teams which dented the Colfax volleyball record in the past has been slated to visit Colfax tonight in a non-league round. The match will be the first home show for the Bulldogs who opened their season last week with a pair of sweeps.
In their matchup with the Bullpups early last season, Colfax was swept in a road trip to Spokane.
Colfax Tuesday rolled to Genesee for their first full match of the season and swept the Idaho Bulldogs 25-12 25-22 and 25-13.
Senior Carmen Gfeller rapped 16 kills in the match and served five aces. She also had 13 digs.
Junior Kylie Kackman has 21 assists, and Piper Cai also hit five aces.
Anna Driuffel had eight kills for Genesee, and Kayleigh Aherin had 17 assists.
Saturday morning Colfax hosted their annual jamboree to open the season. The Bulldogs swept their guests in two-game, round robin format. Wins were pegged over of St. John/Endioctt, Garfield/Palouse and Pullman.
The ‘hounds topped both of the 1B teams, and Garfield/Palouse defeated the Eagles in the county matchup.
