Asotin’s Panthers were picked to be the top team in the NE 2B football league last week in the special football section of the Spokesman Review. Reporter Ryan Collingwood noted Asotin has many returnees back for this year.

Liberty, Asotin and Northwest Christian tied for the top spot in the lNE league race last year after each sustained just one defeat in the campaign.
Collingwood rated Garfield/Palouse, which has six of eight starters back on offense and defense, as the number-one threat to Sunnyside Christian which defeated the Vikings last year and advanced to the state 1B semi-final round.
