Holland retro
set at Dahmen
Dahmen Barn's October exhibit is a 40-year retrospective of art by Uniontown artist, Jennifer Holland. An opening reception will be held Sunday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Hayloft Gallery at the barn in Uniontown. The exhibit opens Oct. 1 and continues through Oct. 29.
Holland resides in Uniontown and is the owner of Splendid Old Stuff, an antique store on the edge of town. This retrospective of her work covers 40 years and includes watercolor, acrylic, photography and 3-D dress form sculptures of women who made a difference in art history.
Jennifer transfers the photographic image to watercolor paper using photo emulsion and her bathtub or a large garbage can for processing. She then creates large watercolors by adding to and enhancing the photo. Her watercolors are large and vibrant flowers and fauna.
