Serving Whitman County since 1877
Friends of Hospice will hold a “Community Fundraiser” Sunday, Oct. 8, from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the View Room of Gladish Community Center in Pullman. All are invited to enjoy local wine and beer, a variety of appetizers and music from Cherry Sisters Revival. Cost is $50 per person, age 21 and older.
All proceeds benefit Friends of Hospice, whose mission for 23 years on the Palouse has been to serve people at the end of life and their family members and caregivers.
Services now offered by Friends of Hospice include Living Legacy, which aims to capture a lifetime of personal stories and memories told by the individual; Threshold Choir, creating a peaceful space to comfort those at the threshold; Music & Memory, music playlists personalized to comfort and calm; massage for the patient and family caregiver; community grief support along with outreach, education and advance-care planning. Coming in 2018 is Serenity House: Comfort and Care at End-of-Life, a community home for the dying.
Those interested in attending the Oct. 8 fundraiser were asked to reserve a space by Sept. 22. (509) 332-4414.
