Drivers on Highway 195 through Uniontown may soon see new signs advising them of their speed. The city council approved in August installation of two electronic signs.
The cost is $7,500 for the two radar signs which tell motorists if their speed is more than the limit.
“That is one of the highest complaints in our community,” said Brian Davies, Uniontown city councilman.
Uniontown Mayor Dave Jacobs said the city is seeking grants funds to pay for the signs. They will pay for the signs out of the general fund if grant money does not surface.
